Caramon, I really need you to meet my cat Leiber. He's only about one-tenth the diameter you are, but he apparently shares your brain.

Hi Caramon!

I don't know if your mom's going to be happy about the food - after all, it's meant to go in your tummy, not on the floor! It might not taste very good, but it's good for you. But I'm sure your mom already told you that.

At least if yer playing with it and exercising and not eating it you will lose weight fast.

Then mum might put you back on gooshy food.

I feel bad for you Caramon. I'm still a kitten so I get to eat real food, but Shadow is fat and needs to be on diet food.

Diet is "die" with a "t" on the end. If I were you, I'd throw it all out on the floor...and leave it there.

Mr. Punkin Pie shares your pain. If anything kidney disease cat food is worse than diet cat food. It smells like seaweed even to my inferior human nose. It's too nasty even to be worth playing with.

And you should convince your mom to get you a refillable water container... that's even more fun to spill all over the floor. It gurgles!

We don't care much for gooshy food...but tuna juice is delicious!! And we take romaine lettuce from Human's hands!

ah, don't worry about the diet cat food. my cats (all four of 'em) have actually gained weight on it.
and i think you need to meet yuri the wonder cat. he would love to frolic in the refilling dish. though he prefers fried egg sandwiches (or maybe the diet cat food isn't the cause of his expanding beer gut)

Shh. While Mom's getting ready to go to class, I get to use the computer! I have a magic dish too! But, she doesn't buy me round kibble. So, I just have to keep on moving the food around the floor. Mom doesn't like it when I do that too much because she steps on it when she wakes up in the middle of the night. Bye Caramon!!

Don't worry too much about being a fat lump, C. My cat loves 'em fat and dumb. We actually had to get her fixed because we were afraid her kittenhood crush, Katze (a 25 lb orange tabby who drank bleach water), would hurt himself when he tried to get away from her advances by crawling under the couch (which sat about 2 inches off the ground).

BTW, we're glad to see you two posting again!

The only way to stop cats throwing their food outside the dish, is to give them a dish big enough for them to stand in ;o)

Maybe you should try diet gooshy food? Our fat kitty was on that for awhile. Science Diet brand. But then he got diabetes, and has to eat regular gooshy food. You wouldn't like the diabetes, though. Then you have to get shots twice a day. :(

I am so happy you posted again! I missed you guys! Mostly I miss the inestimable Raist/Eben. Only he is truly capable of understanding my brilliance. Certainly not the moronic kittens I am forced to live with.

Here's a hint. After eating the yucky food, go puke on mommies favorite clothes. Keep doing this at every meal, and they will change the food real quick. Laying on the floor pretending to twitch also helps, although I am unclear as to why.

Hey, Clyde here. Mom and Dad left the 'puters unattended, it's rare, but it happens. I got gooshy food once, but all of a sudden Mom stopped, something about being stinky. I don't really mind the kibble stuff since I get treats from the shakey can. I make sure to yell at them if I don't some everyday.

Avalon gets dry food for some of her meals and gooshy for others. She likes both, but she thinks the best thing about the rounded kibble is that it makes for great games of soccer across the tile floors before she finally puts the kibble out of its misery and eats it.
Her dry food isn't for weight loss, but dental health... plus mixing it in with the gooshy helps keep her from eating so fast she immediately throws up.

Caramon, you should meet Bagheera and Freyja-kitty. They have the same special dish, and they share in the fun you have discovered.

Mom and dad both frequently come home to large amounts of round kibbel all over the floor... :: sighs ::

Here I thought they were the only ones that did that. :)
