| Me bathroom cd player hates bands that have 3/Three in their names and refuses to play them. I even tried to trick it by making a cd with various 3/Three named band songs on it and it *still* skips and won't play but the disk will play fine in every other cd player I have.

| I love me some blue cheese dressing, but the store bought stuff is too high in salt and the fat free ones taste... ick. So, I tried this recipe today. I made it chunky style (whipped with a fork), added 1/2 tsp of black pepper and cut the tsp of salt entirely. The end product has @100mg sodium per 2 tbsp serving, which is really good for me since I can double the serving and get good coverage on a dinner salad without blowing the hell out of the salt value for the meal.
The taste is decent, but the blue cheese didn't carry through very strongly. I think next time, I'll blend in half of the cheese to spread the flavor through the buttermilk/sour cream mixture, and then fork stir the other half. | | comments: Leave a comment |

| So I was in the mood to try to make a dent on the blueberries in the freezer from last blueberry season and not wanting to do anything so fiddly even as making pancakes. I decided, again, to make blueberry muffins. They're kind of like blueberry pancakes, but I can just stick them in the oven and pull them out 25-30 minutes later and not have to make 4 batches and worry about one side or the other burning. :P
'Froo-froo', because I added some ground ginger for flavoring and wheat germ and ground flaxseed for nutritional content.
Except I completely left out the oil. No wonder they're a titch dry and didn't brown very well. Oops.
(Taste just fine, though. :)

| Well, it's Sunday. Long time readers know that I tend to have issues with
moodswings on Sundays. Something about the start of the work week the next
day makes me want to curl up and hide. It didn't help that I woke up
early and just couldn't get back to sleep. It will be worth it though,
since I have to get to bed early tonight...and to work early tomorrow.
This next week is back to the new Shoggoth Pit, lets hope the electrical guys
get the AC running this week. *crosses tentacles*
Today, I'm going to finish my lunch (leftover pizza) and finish an episode
of Mythbusters. Then off to Amythest
's place to do laundry and hang out. Amythest time always does help the
mood. Then I'll head home, play with ferrets and go to bed around 10ish.
Hopefully I'll get enough sleep to be functional tomorrow.
In happier thoughts, went to see
Up last night with the
gang. Very very good, if very emotional. It's not a sad movie, but boy
are there spots you just want to cry your eyes out at. But, the funny
and the 'oh wow' moments more than made up for it. So yes, go see it.
Just bring kleenex.
Ok, enough babbling, time to do laundry. Wee, fun.
